Probate, Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney and Fair Deal Scheme

We can guide you through making a Will and ensuring that your wishes are carried out and we will discuss with you estate planning which involves planning for your future and that of your family. In this Covid Crisis, turnaround time and urgency is at the forefront of our mind as we work to prepare Wills for you and your family.

If you have young children we can guide you through preparing a Will appointing Trustees and Guardians to look after their needs should you no longer be able to do so.

You may decide that you want to create an Enduring Power of Attorney which is a document whereby you appoint a person or person to look after your finances and assist with your healthcare decisions should you become
unable to make them for yourself.

Eldercare and The Fair deal Scheme can be discussed and we can help with planning for your future older years.

It is so important that a person's dignity is preserved as they grow older and may need care, and Catriona discusses strategies as to how to deal with issues that may arise.

When someone passes away you can contact us to discuss what you might need to do next and we can help with guiding you through the Probate process whether there is a Will in place or not. This can be an emotional time and Catriona ensures that her clients are comfortable and ready to progress matters at their own pace and that they fully understand what is happening.

Unfortunately sometimes Probates do not proceed smoothly and Catriona can assist in cases where the Executor is not acting or where S117 claims need to be lodged or defended. (Claims lodged where children not provided for sufficiently in a parents estate) or where the rights of a spouse or cohabitee need to protected.
